Some AFCZ Family Member Thoughts - September 2020

The children got asked: “What would you like the donors to know? And how have their contributions helped you?” Here are some of their responses.

If I was not here, I would have died in the streets. I would not be going to school. Now I am changed and I go to school and am learning to read. Thank you for supporting me. Now I have a good life at Salvation Home.

Mom, Who knew that God would keep you safe and healthy? Thank you mom for keeping with you that which wasn't meant for you.  I would be in the streets looking very dirty or sold into marriage by now if not for you.  Thank You Mom.

I am grateful and thank you for all your support and helping Mama Carol to be here. She has saved my life. I’m not in the streets but live in a proud shelter, have education and a healthy environment for me to grow spiritually and physically. She gave me a family which I never had, specially when I had lost both my parents to AIDS. Without you, I couldn’t be who I am today. May God Bless you and be with you all the time.

Thanks to you all. I am doing fine because of you. Thank you for supporting me and my 3 brothers.  My family lived in a bad way. When our Grandma died, we thought life was finished.  But thanks to you and Mama Carol, we are all fine and in school. Thank you so much for your support. Your love is true. Your love is pure. May God bless you.

I am very thankful for the help you give me in life. I would be a street begger but by the grace of God and you, I am going to school.

I am glad that I have the opportunity to let you know how much you have helped me. Before I came in this program, my life was not good at all. Even though I was young, I experienced a lot of bad things. My father was dead. My mom was a drunkard. My stepfather was abusive. I had nothing. That changed when my brother brought me to Mama Carol. Now I have everything. School, food, love and care. I wonder what my life would have been if you people were not there to help me? I really appreciate everything you are doing in my life. Thank You for giving support and giving me what my parents could not. I love you all.

Thank God and you for being there for me. Thank you for sending Mama Carol here to be my mama.  My mom died in 2012 and I had to go to the streets for food. But now I eat every day. Without your support, I could not be at school but now I am in grade 6. I really appreciate you.
